Abstract

Aspiration of foreign body is often a life threatening condition in children. We present a case of 7-year-old dyspneic and hypoxemic girl where anaesthesia for removal bronchoscopy was complicated with presence of full stomach. The use of ketamine and fast induction after muscle relaxation with succynylocholine resulted in an improvement of oxygenation and a smooth and safe course of anaesthesia.
